What is coming
Boz Universe is being built a system at a time. These parts are planned, or exist in an early form, but are not yet part of the game you can play. None of them has a date.
The story in play
- The archivist's name and voice, and the archivist fighting beside you in the first hour.
- Echoes: short memories to find in the stones of the old Nazar shrines.
- The Nazars beyond the first hour, and what to do about the eye that closed.
- Taking your first shelter and chest with you into Universe Zero.
Playing together
Hosting and joining a world with friends works today; see Playing together. Still to come: public worlds and a list of servers, accounts that live online, typing on a controller, caves, arenas and raids together, and guards in your own villages.
Peoples
- Norse and Turkic are being built in full first. The other eight peoples follow, with their own building shapes and clothing.
- A signature fighting art or tree choice for each people, and small traits that wake by day or by night.
- Painted backgrounds for every people and path in the character creator.
Quests
Quests are in the game (see Quests). Still to come: the longer quest chains from the earlier 2D version, quest marks on the compass, and writing quests inside the game.
Seasons
A season is a stretch of weeks with its own story: each season, a new seam opens. Playing earns season points along a track with a reward at each step, daily and weekly challenges give more, and festivals inside a season bring their own. What a season adds stays in the game for good. Achievements give titles for deeds such as taming, crafting and sailing.
The shop that comes with seasons sells looks only: nothing in it makes you stronger.
Modes
The core of Boz Universe is survival in a world you shape. Alongside it, other ways to play are planned, each with its own loadouts. The arena and village raids are the first ones in the game today.
Villages and towns
- The third village tier, the bronze town.
- More markets and towns beyond the Proving Grounds' camp, and hirelings.
And more
- Changing keys and buttons, and direct controller buttons for crafting, taming, pets, fighting arts and skill trees.
- Skill trees for the skills that don't have one yet.
- Gear that wears down and is mended, and the rest of the set powers.
- Karma, crimes and notoriety in the 3D world.
- The open sea, sea serpents and treasure maps.
- Elite versions of creatures.
- Spinning wheels and looms that do the work for you, and repairing tools.
- Accounts that live on a server.
- Finished art: many models, buildings and effects you see today are stand-ins.
